Working hand in hand with researchers from the world’s largest tech leaders be it in consumer electronics, defense, automotive, government or research centers, we are 3D printing today the next generation of PCBs.

Meeting existing customers and prospects, you will seek to understand and inspire the innovation possible while 3D printed PCBs. Negotiating with researchers the tradeoffs in resistivity, dielectric, thermal and many other technical aspects to understand and develop the viable, making tomorrow’s dreams into today’s reality. Imagine the realm of possibilities with oddly shaped, conformal, printed PCBs, capacitors, resistors, coax and many other components encapsulated in within the dielectric.

As an Application Engineer, you are the link between the customer, sales and development. Your goal is to generate technical solutions and successfully implement them.

Promote the printer utilization at the customers sites with goal to use our printer as an integrated step in their process. Learning what the customers’ goals are and help them to achieve it. This requires in-depth knowledge of the product: You are familiar with all of the details from development to testing through to the sales strategy. As you will have direct contact with customers, you must have excellent communication skills.

Working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate, the Application Engineer must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for all technical issue. This includes

qualification of the benchmarking request and coordination with the execution of this process. The Application Engineer must be able to establish and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the sales cycle. In addition, to provide post sales technical support to customers on the creation of Additively Manufactured Electronic (AME) devices.

Key to this process will be an understanding of the physical and electrical properties of dielectric and conductive materials used for the creation of AME devices, the operation of the systems used for the creation of AME devices. The job requires knowledge and experience in design of electronic circuits, from logic, to power, and RF. In this role you can expect hands on activity with advanced Additively Manufactured Electronics equipment. You can also expect to interface with customers, including traveling as well as attending trade shows and conferences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work within pre-established, product development guidelines and instructions to help prospects and customers to define solutions, providing application recommendations.
  • Be an evangelist on the adoption of additively manufactured electronic devices via customer education, tools usage and design consideration support.
  • Interpret customer performance requirements and coordinate proper benchmark execution.
  • Exercise diplomacy in resolving conflicting customer performance expectations.
  • Collaborate with other company applications engineering members in the design and development of use cases.
  • Convey to the CTO and or/Applications Product Manager any new needs by the customers not covered by current offerings.
  • Assist in internal test and R&D efforts.
  • Lead or assist in the development of technical white papers, application notes, and design guides.

Requirements:
  • B.S. in E.E. field and/or physics, M.S. preferred; electronics curriculum in either RF, digital, and/or power circuits.
  • Must have US Citizenship
  • Electrical engineering experience
  • Customer facing experience.
  • Positive, service-oriented personality.
  • Clear, respective and effective oral and written communications skills to any size audience.
  • Attention to detail, plus analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • High results-driven attitude.
  • Team player and willingness to collaborate with other departments.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient with eCAD/mCAD.
  • Available for travel 50%.
